The Soil Sorcerer’s Steamed Bone Meal (2-14-0)

Phosphorus-Packed Fertility for Blossoms, Roots & Fruit Sets

Nurture your garden with one of nature’s most revered sources of slow-release phosphorus: The Soil Sorcerer’s Steamed Bone Meal (2-14-0). Carefully rendered and steamed at low temperatures to preserve natural nutrients and sterilize pathogens, this finely milled bone meal is an essential tool in biodynamic and organic gardening alike.

Why Use Steamed Bone Meal?

Phosphorus is one of the most critical nutrients for root development, flower formation, and fruit production. Our steamed bone meal is particularly effective for:

Transplanting root crops like carrots, onions, garlic, or potatoes

Boosting blooms in flowering annuals and perennials

Strengthening root systems in new seedlings or transplants

Supporting fruiting plants like tomatoes, squash, and peppers

Steamed bone meal also provides a healthy dose of calcium, which promotes strong cell wall development and can help prevent issues like blossom end rot in tomatoes.

How to Apply:

Soil Prep: Work 1–2 tablespoons per plant (or 1–2 cups per 10 sq. ft.) into the top 2–3 inches of soil before planting.

Top Dressing: Lightly sprinkle around established plants and water in. Repeat every 4–6 weeks during the growing season.

Container Gardens: Mix 1 tablespoon per gallon of soil when potting.

Safe for all garden plants, this gentle, long-acting fertilizer will not burn roots when used as directed.
